The Open3C network is intended to act as a general hub for custom curricula assembled primarily from OpenCourseWare Consortium materials ( which can be found at http://www.ocwconsortium.org ).

Those who have created, or are attempting to create, their own custom curriculum and wish to share and/or study it together with others, are expected to create their own Ning network for that purpose. This network is only intended to provide a centralized location to announce those individual curriculum networks, and to facilitate communication and collaboration among those creating and participating in them.

Open Courseware Directory and Higher Education Resources

Check out my friend's website iberry.com, Open Courseware Directory and Higher Education Resources. He is managing that on his own, 100% unfunded.

He recently told me he would be keen to have subject experts pop in from time to time to write very short reviews on resources in their subject areas. If you feel that could be you, pop him a line (contact us link on the above website)

info instruction

This ning may be coming at just the right time for me.
I've been teaching database queries till it's oozing from my eyes...

I'm mainly teaching to young "digital natives" and to older African immigrants with little computer experience. A wide mix of other types of students too.

Thinking lately about changing my routine to instill some basic critical thinking apps off of which we can spring into the specific twists and turns of particular databases.

Welcome.

Just as an FYI, I'm not really interested in managing anything here, so please don't expect me to do that. This network is really just something I was hoping to find and didn't.

For those trying to assemble a curricula, hopefully the forum will be of use. I'll have to figure out how much that needs to be massaged; hopefully not much. I've yet to investigate some of the tools here and perhaps the new Group feature will also be of use. Bear with me.
